The New Song Men’s Prayer Breakfast Bible Group is pleased to present a donation of $1,225 to the “Friends In the Desert”.
Our bible prayer group meets each week. We welcome men from all backgrounds to share and grow in
understanding the best book ever written. We strive together to learn the full meaning of God’s word in
an honest confidential environment.
Through our study and prayer we decided to see how we could support a local charity.
Our goal was to collect at least a $1,000.00 and donate to a local organization where our donation could
have a positive impact.
We researched large and small organizations in Clark County and developed criteria for the recipient:
• Large Percentage of our donation must be used to support their mission versus
• How the organization supports the community
• How the funds would be specifically used
We contacted several organizations all of them worthy Charities and they all support many important
needs of our community.
As we discussed your charity, what Matthew wrote had resonance with our goal, ‘For I was hungry, and
you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger, and
you invited me in.”
We felt that The Friends In the Desert did meet our criteria; we are confident that our funds would have
a meaningful and direct impact on people who you serve and live in our community.
